Welcome to the Nekrocult! This site was designed to highlight some of the best metal bands of the underground. Through reviews, interviews, and articles, we strive to introduce you to the darker side of art, music, and literature. From old classics to new releases, we'll bring you the finest recommendations of extreme metal.

 

We will feature bands of all genres in the metal realm, but will especially focus on bands of the blackened thrash, blackened death, and black metal genres. Even more, we'll make sure to bring you recommendations of the lesser known, hidden gems of the world, so you can keep your playlist refreshed and relieved from the mainstream noise. 

 

While we will uncover bands from around the globe, we are based in Chicago and will proudly feature bands from our hometown as well. We'll also feature some content about upcoming shows, local venues, and record stores you can visit if you're ever in town.
